After a long absence we returned to the Gasworks today to continue our project. Suddenly spring has turned into high summer, with the hot weather being almost a return to last summer's raging temperatures.

Wasted a few more hours shifting the capping before concentrating of getting the depth down further. We estimate that we are now into the late 30's datewise, but still nearly all the finds are modern tat, with no late throwaways coming to light. First sight of a possible good find came when a Bungalow footwarmer appeared in the ash, face down of course. After carefully digging it loose, out it came, only to find that it was plain!!
